Question:
Are there dress codes when visiting museums in Italy?

Answer:
For visiting the Uffizi, the Accademia or most other museums, there is not a specific dress code to follow.

The exception are the Vatican Museums in Rome; if you are visiting the Sistine Chapel or St. Peter's Basilica, you will need to have your shoulders and knees covered (our tip is to bring a large scarf/shawl to cover yourself if needed).

We also recommend the same when visiting churches such as the Duomo of Florence.

And as always, please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions!
