Hello Alex,

I wanted to share our experience. When we arrived we were nicely greeted. It was about 1 hr. 15 min ride from the airport to the hotel. It was a large air conditioned bus, so it wasn't too bad. The hotel itself is relatively new. It opened in 2007.

The room was nice, they have elevators to get to all floors. There are 6 floors in the hotel.
Our room was large and spacious. The balcony that we had was amazing! We had one of the tower rooms and the balcony went all the way around facing the pool/beach areas. They restocked the minibar daily, and had 2 maid services one during the day and a night maid - around 8pm (we didn't use that one since the baby was sleeping.)
We were upgraded to our room and had a special area in the hotel that gave us free internet/computer access if needed and they tried to accommodate all our needs. They even made reservations for us for restaurant dinners - but we attempted, and couldn't do a sit-down type dinner with a small child. The buffet was our go-to place. The food was a good variety, usually same things for breakfast, but lunch and dinner was slightly varied. Dinner was country themed - Mexican, Italian, Canadian (not sure whats special - was like American). A lot of Canadians were there.. maybe that's why.

One thing that we didn't like and had an issue with was the fact that they do not have food available 24/7. Buffet is open from 7-10 breakfast, 1-3 for lunch, and 6:30-9 (I think) for dinner. Supposedly there was a beach grill but it opened at 12 noon.. and they do have room service, but it takes 45 minutes.. and took them over an hour one day and over 2 hrs a different day, where I had to speak to a manager. Possibly for people with no children, this would not be an issue, but we woke up at 6 and had to make 7 am breakfast and by 10  our family was hungry with nowhere to eat. In an all-inclusive, that is a problem.

Most staff is very friendly and helpful.

Another thing for people to know is that the beach right by the hotel is very rocky. It is beautiful but there is no sand  to lay /walk on- just pebbles. A little further down the beach, they made a "sanded" beach area - we never made it there it was pretty far. With a small child we stayed by the pool. Also, an advantage to early wake up is that you can easily get an umbrella area or even a cabana. (best to get prior to 7 am)

Overall it was good. The staff at the pool area tries to engage the crowd by playing games and tournaments. They do water aerobics/zumba type things, there are many kid activities. We did not get to see their nightly shows, because they started at 9:45 - but they were available.

After we spoke to the manager or assistant manager.. the next day we got room service in 17 minutes. It might have been an off day - was a Saturday - but things got better after.
