If you want to go on a trip in 2014, you have plenty of options. The best option, in my opinion, is Montreal, Canada. It has plenty of features that will want to make you go over and over again. Now, I will give you a virtual tour of Montreal in a couple of paragraphs.

Our first stop is underground. That’s right, you guessed it - the Metro! It has 68 stations on four lines. One of my favorite stops is Pie IX. It drops off right inside Olympic Stadium, where some of the 1976 Olympic Games were held! Also, you can take this into town to work, and then back out of town to go home! It is a very convenient way of travel.  Just make sure you don’t make a mistake and end up back in the US!

We get off at the stop Viau, which is where Olympic Park is. There are plenty of spots to go in Olympic Park! Our first stop here is the Biodome, where you can experience 4 different American environments and see cool animals. When I went, I saw a Lynx! Now after our adventure of the environments, we take a walk to the Montreal Botanical Garden. You can see a figure of Mother Nature made of plants! You can see plenty other figures made of plants there, such as a Grand Piano. You can also go up an incline that is attached to Olympic Stadium, which gives you an aerial view of Olympic Park, including the home of the Montreal Impact Soccer Club, Stade Saputo.

Speaking of Saputo, this is another icon in Montreal. The environment here is so amazing. The fans are shouting, “Allez! Allez!” which is “Go! Go!” in French. The fans that are rooting for Montreal and have season tickets wave flags to pump up all of the fans. The game that I went to was very intense. The Impact was playing Sporting Kansas City. The game was tied 0-0 and it was going into injury time. The crowd was so loud, if my dad was talking to me right next to me, I wouldn’t have heard him. All of a sudden, Montreal scored! The place went absolutely crazy! It was louder than before! The Impact won the game 1-0.

Now, we take the underground from the game back to the hotel Hilton. This is convenient because it is the summer, and we don’t have to be outside in the heat.   It also has a lot of shops, so if you want to stop for a coffee while traveling, you can just head to a store! Also, on those cold days when it is in the negatives or in the hot temperatures, you don’t want to walk outside. Well, problem solved! If you walk through the mall at Centre Eaton, you can easily access the underground from this shopping mall. Now you go to Place Bonaventure, and you are at the hotel!

That’s it for your Interactive Tour of Montreal! Now you know that you want to go there for real. Are you going to make the right choice of trip for 2014?
