Are you going skiing this winter? Consider Mont Tremblant in Canada.
Here is the winter vacation experience by one of our clients.
HOTEL - we stayed at Fairmont. Word of caution - there are about 30% taxes on top of everything. Fairmont, has a nice lobby lounge with fire place, they have valet ski/snowboard storage which is super convenient - you basically ski out and then when you come back you check in your skis without having to shlep them to the room. They can bring a cot in upon request - our friends travelled with 2 kids of different sexes and ages and requested 2 double beds and a cod. No refrigerators in the room. $50 to rent if you need one.
Awesome hot tubs outside, pools and saunas. Spa service was ok, nothing special. Valet parking is $24 per day or free at the base of the mountain. There is an ice skating ring with free rentals for Fairmont Guests. Also, if guests pre-register as Fairmont President Members (it's free registration on the website), they will get free wi-fi, preferred early skiing, and free ice skate rentals.
The village has a few hotels - Westin is half a block away, Quintessence is close. Walking distance from the mountain, but not ski out. Meaning you will need to carry out your skies to the lift for 5-10 minutes. You do not need a car in a village - plenty of options to eat within the village, We drove out - 10 min away a few times for fine foodie-type dining. Not sure about ski programs, I am sure there are plenty, mine are good skiers. It is by far best skiing on East Coast. I liked beaver creek colorado better (just because it's warmer). Awesome skiing but cold.
Besides all the necessary ski equipment, advise people to get face masks, hand and foot warmers and mittens (vs. gloves). We had -30 degrees temperature there.
For the car - we had an extra set of wipers (which turned out to be a necessity), sufficient anti freeze liquid for the windshield is a must.
Our friends stayed at Westin, it's a few minutes away - newer, bigger pool, bigger room, $100 cheaper per night, not a ski out. Fairmont is the only ski out there.

Cafe at Fairmont is also great for breakfast or lunch- hot chocolate, paninis, etc

All our friends raved about this place, we were there on Christmas eve and have a feeling the chef was off - very nice ambiance, very mediocre dishes. 10 people that I trust raved about the food before we came, we thought it was a solid B-.
